Map index / route logic

No More Room in Hell 2 Maps

A route-first index for Objective and Survival sessions. The useful question is not only “which map?” but “what kind of commitment does this map ask for?”

Known format split: the official launch information describes Objective as the larger, route-driven format and Survival as the smaller holdout format. Use the filter below to read notes by scenario type. Specific location names should be added only when confirmed in the current game build.

Objective route

Large map

Read the mission chain before committing to a deep push. Keep one route for progress and one route for leaving.

Route planningHigh commitment

Survival holdout

Small map

Prioritize sightlines, fallback space, and the next defensible position. A holdout map rewards knowing when to rotate.

Exit state

Record the last safe room, the likely approach direction, and what you are willing to abandon before the exit.

Team state

When the squad splits, one player should retain the route memory. Do not make everyone carry a different plan.

How to read a map before loading in

  1. Identify the mode. A route that makes sense for an Objective run can be wasteful during Survival.
  2. Mark the commitment point. Decide where the squad stops treating the run as a quick check and starts spending resources.
  3. Choose an exit rule. The best map note is incomplete if it never says when to leave.
  4. Separate confirmed facts from community notes. A named room or route should be tied to a current screenshot, patch note, or in-game confirmation.

Map notes that survive patches

Room names and item positions can move. Route logic is more durable: visibility, noise, fallback space, objective order, and the cost of crossing an open area. Write map content around those repeatable decisions, then update the location-specific layer whenever the game changes.

Database status: this first release ships the scenario index and filtering surface. Named map entries should be added from verified current-build observations rather than guessed from search snippets.

FAQ

Are Objective maps bigger than Survival maps?

The official launch description positions Objective as the large-map route mode and Survival as the smaller-map mode. Treat individual layouts as version-sensitive.

What should a map guide include?

Mode, objective order, high-risk crossings, fallback spaces, item or key locations, and an extraction decision are more useful than a screenshot without context.
